footwear buyer (yeah, I'm actually paid to buy shoes), MIM graduate, tomboy, and all around easy going girl
So I haven't updated since May...oops. Been busy apparently. I added some new galleries (Ireland--Nov 2003 and Hawaii--March 2004). My dial up is REALLY slow and I can only post so many photos at a time, so bear with me. (Did I use the right bear/bare there?) Go to the link in the sidebar on the right to see the updated pics.

I finally have a couple of minutes to breathe, so I figured I would write a quick post. I have been insanely busy with my grad program, staying in the computer lab late, often till 2am. My husband and my guinea pig miss me very much as I am never home. We did get moved into an apartment right by campus on the park blocks. It's a very nice studio and the building has a lot of perks (lap pool, hot tubs, fitness center, lounge, resident parties).
I also finally got the hard numbers on what my graduate assistantship would pay for school. Let's just say that it didn't work out to be a very large percentage of my $30,000 program. I have decided to quit so that I can concentrate on school and not rob either my studies or my job from 100% effort...so student loans, HERE I COME! Woohoo! DEBT! Oh well--I think this is a good investment. Daniel may take a few classes in the Fall or Winter, so that will give him something to do to keep his mind off of missing me. I have been having fun thus far and have met some cool people. We've all just met less than a month ago, but it seems as though it has been longer. I don't think we have gone a day without talking to eachother and not more than a one day without seeing eachother. Crazy. Anyway, I do have some reading to do, so I better get on it. If I don't post anything for a while, just take my Chinese recordings as a sign that I am still alive. And I apologize for not getting around to seeing many of you. Maybe we can do dinner or something (I have to schedule ahead for these things and even that's not a guarantee). So, have your people call my people. |
